We hired this motorhome and entered our contract while Carl and Pretty were managing the motorhome. We then received an email a few months before our trip to say they had asked another person to manage the booking etc, no issues. All communications were polite, helpful etc. However, to say the images and our expectations given what is presented did not represent the motorhome we received was an understatement. The upholstery was all stained on the 4 seat table set up. There was a large stain/ water mark on the overtaking bed. We thankfully took our own mattress protectors. There was damage throughout the interior. The window of the over cabin is taped shut because it was damaged. We went to put the awning up and found it was being held shut by a zip tie. We were advised we could cut it but we would need to source another zip tie and close it before travelling home. It was advertised as having WiFi and a TV... this was a stretch... it is wofo capable and the tv is in the cupboard. It also was advertised as having a bbq for use.... it does not. All of these extras ans the immaculate photo's are why we chose this motorhome over others. Yes we made it work and took our own bbq, but the point being the advert shows and at time of contract stated this motorhome had amazing extras and was in perfect condition.. when the reality is its scratched, taped and screws falling out. They need to remove it for a month and clean the upholstery, fix the window and toilet door lock etc and then it may look somewhat like it does in the misleading photos. All repairs need to be resolved in my opinion and would be a better business model than misleading potential hirers with there shiny photos. Augustus 2026

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel people should know about our experience hiring this motorhome. Unfortunately, the vehicle we received had multiple issues that significantly affected our trip. These included WiFi that was advertised but not set up, a broken window, mould present inside the vehicle, a broken grill, engine problems during the hire period, missing mattress protection despite this being expected, a broken seatbelt, and a faulty bathroom door lock. One of the biggest frustrations was the claim that the motorhome was “totally off-grid”, which did not match our experience and felt misleading based on the problems we encountered. While issues can happen with any vehicle, what has been most disappointing is how the matter has been handled afterwards. Following complaints and an agreed refund amount of £133.20, payment has still not been made, leaving me having to pursue mediation to recover money that has already been acknowledged as owed. Overall, the condition of the motorhome, combined with the aftercare and handling of complaints, means I would not book again or recommend this owner based on my experience. April 2026

From the moment we arrived for checkin until the delivery back to Romsey, Carl and Dolly were amazing. Their communication was top notch, friendly, helpful and the camper was exactly as described. She was perfect for our family of 5 to tour around the UK and Ireland. I’d highly recommend them to anyone. Juni 2025

Carl was a great host! The handover went smoothly and helped me understand the many different aspects of driving Dolly the motorhome. We had an amazing trip to Scotland; the fact that we were in such an incredible motorhome enhanced our experience. November 2024

They were available and helpful when we needed assistance during the trip. They both were friendly. Kitchen was well equipped. It was well thought out to include BBQ and folding chairs, tables in the motorhome! September 2024

I would love to give this five stars as the owners were so lovely. We rented dolly for the bank holiday weekend and it was exactly what we were looking for, plenty of space, clean and the amenities you need, even included bedsheets which a lot of camper hires don’t. However, there were a number of things that were broken. I know it’s due to back to back hires but it really did affect our experience unfortunately. The bathroom door handle broke (which we were warned it was a bit broken from the previous hire but it was very broken) resulting in the five year old with us getting stuck in there for quite a long time and mum and dad really panicking. The bathroom window was also broken so we couldn’t get through from that side either. One of the window blinds was broken so we couldn’t close the light out completely and two out of the four camp chairs also broken so we couldn’t actually sit outside, we didn’t use the awning or anything. The other bits and bobs were minor issues and didn’t bother us at all and we were pre-warned about the breakages when we arrived on pick up. The owners were very communicative and flexible in the run up and after which was great but you hire and pay a price based on the camper as it is advertised and unfortunately Dolly wasn’t in the condition as advertised. We would hire her again as long as we could be sure everything had been fixed. September 2024

We loved our time in Dolly. Was the best family holiday we have ever had! The owners were awesome and super supportive with all our first timer questions. If you are thinking about van life - do it with these guys and in Dolly - well worth it! #doitwithDolly Augustus 2024
