We had a fantastic 3 night getaway in Katie-J with our dog, and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The van was super easy to drive even for someone not used to larger vehicles and felt comfortable and reliable throughout. Adam was brilliant to deal with: communication was clear and friendly from start to finish, and the pick-up/drop-off process was flexible and hassle-free. The van itself is cleverly laid out with great storage and lots of thoughtful touches that made the trip extra enjoyable, everything from fairy lights to camping chairs was included, making it feel like a proper little home on wheels. Our dog settled in easily too, and it was great to find a pet-friendly camper that was clean, well-equipped, and welcoming. We’d absolutely recommend Katie-J for anyone looking for a relaxed, well supported campervan adventure. Thanks again, Adam! Augustus 2025

Adam and Tom’s communication was great and made the handover and return easy. The van was great to drive on narrow roads. It had a comfy bed and the fridge was cold. We did a road trip up to Bath and returned to Southampton. Augustus 2025

My first campervan experience was excellent, thanks to Adam and Tom and the lovely Katie-J. I collected the van from Adam, feeling slightly apprehensive about driving a larger vehicle, but he was very reassuring and within a couple of miles I felt totally at ease at the wheel. Before setting off he talked me through all the features of the van and we competed the necessary paperwork. The van was very clean and well presented. I headed down to Exmouth, not too far from where I live but a big enough distance to give me a full experience of driving and checking into a campsite. I had three days there before very reluctantly returning the van. Everything worked as it should and the van was equipped with all that I needed. An added bonus was having somewhere to change when I decided to stop at a beach for an evening swim. I have to emphasise how comfortable the bed was, I had the best nights sleep for months! I absolutely loved the whole experience and am off to look at one to buy tomorrow! Returning the van was equally straightforward, Adam and Tom were very communicative, replying to my questions and messages very promptly. I was really pleased with the communication from Adam and Tom - they were quick to respond, positive and accommodating. Katie is a great van - it has a really comfortable bed and great sound proofing. I slept really well despite storms going on around me! It has everything you need- a handy fridge and USB charging points, fold out chairs etc. It drives very easily-even as a short person I could reach the pedals comfortably. Thanks to Adam and Tom! Classic campervan fun… Adam gave me a quick overview of “Katie” including warning me of some classic errors to avoid, he was very relaxed and this made me feel at ease, he gave me just enough information to get on with and assured me that he and Tom were available through WhatsApp to answer any questions during my trip. I went to the Silverstone Grand Prix for the first time camping on a farm in Silverstone about 100 miles each way, the drive reminded me of one of my very first cars right down to the tape deck that I listened to my first music on. I got the cooking and washing things out of the cupboards and set the bed up for the weekend, and blacked out the windows with the screens. The cooking facilities meant that I could cook for myself and the fridge was small but handy for the essentials. The bed was comfortable and the screens worked well and I slept well. The weekend was great and Katie and I got on well, two ladies on an adventure together. Juli 2025

Katie J was perfect, easy to drive and lovely comfy bed. Unfortunately I became ill and admitted to hospital, so had to cut our trip short. We absolutely love Katie-J and wanted to keep her forever!! Our trip up to Scotland was fabulous thanks to Katie-J and the support of Adam and Tom. Picking Katie-J up from Adam was super easy, he's flexible about pick up and return times, and chatting to him made us feel super confident- we had never driven a campervan before but he gave us the rundown and Katie-J was amazing to drive. Adam + Tom are really communicative and positive guys, we felt like we could ask them any question and they were looking out for us. We would 100% recommend hiring from them whether you're a regular campervanner or completely new to it like we were :) Some notable things to mention about Katie-J would be the ridiculously comfy bed (we didn't believe all the reviews saying it was super comfy until our first night, everyone was right!!), the built in lights, and the handy fridge. We also loved the fact that Adam and Tom have thought of literally everything you could possibly want or need - Katie-J comes with camping chairs, a stove, travel games, fairy lights, you name it. The handover was very quick and easy. Adam gave clear instructions about how everything worked. He was also very happy to answer any questions we had before the trip and always quickly responded in a friendly and professional way. We spent four nights in the van travelling around the south Devon coast. KTJ was very comfortable and had all the right equipment for what we needed to make our camping trip go smoothly. We especially enjoyed not needing an electric hookup and we were able to charge all our devices using the USB connectors including my hearing aids! This gave us much more freedom in choosing cheaper camp sites. Juli 2024

We had a fabulous time exploring the West Coast of Ireland in Katie J. Although twenty years old, she drove well and coped with the winding roads and hills of Ireland with ease - we covered around 1000 miles over 11 days. The bed is super comfy and we quickly became adept at getting it set up at night with the window covers in place and packing away in the morning. Loved sitting on the rear facing seats with the tail up, enjoying a morning coffee and taking in the views of glorious sandy beaches, blue oceans and mountains! Lots of clever storage spaces, with the pull out drawers at the back that form a cooking surface attracting positive comments from other van campers. The van had everything we needed to cook simple meals, make cups of tea and enjoy a glass or two of wine. The fridge freezer was perfect, with plenty of space. Adam was a delight to deal with, quick to respond and always helpful. He gave us a good run through of everything before we set off and handing back the van was a smooth and easy process. We would definitely use the campervan guys again! Augustus 2023

Second time we've used KTJ. We had a lovley time on the Isle of Wight. Adam was very friendly and relaxed whilst explaining the vans details to us. He asked lots about our trip when we got back which was nice. KTJ was as fun and reliable as last time we took her. So nice not to have to worry too much about campsites and hotels. We got our deposit back and all in all had a positive experience. Juni 2023

This little camper is lovely. Really well done out. Spotlessly clean. Adam & Tom have thought of everything. There was even complimentary rum & coke in the fridge. The bed is so comfortable. Really good quality foam cushions that make a great mattress. The battery for the fridge & electrics is really good so we only had to turn the engine for 10 minutes (once in 3 days) to recharge it. Once booked Adam/Tom set up a WhatsApp group and gave brilliant advice & support sorting out the insurance documents and deposit. Any questions we asked were answered the same day making this camper rental experience a pleasure from the moment we booked it until we got home. Also, no delay with the deposit being returned. It was our first camper van experience and we’ll definitely be back. Can’t recommend TheCampervanGuys enough! Juli 2022

What a lovely van! It had everything you needed from cooking utensils to a portable shower (a very good one too). They have thought about everything you may need on your van adventures and it even had a full size double. Adam was very helpful and responded to any questions we had quickly. Very easy to drive. Easy to book and great communication from Adam and Tom both prior to the hire and before return. They responded to my questions very quickly and gave solid information. For its age the van is immaculate both as a Campervan/mobile bedroom and just the right amount of equipment a modern comfortable interior and very economical on fuel. The bed is very comfortable easy to set up as was everything else. Informative handover, spotless and everything you will need for a camping trip. Good size fridge and modern lighting with usb sockets. Great battery life too. There were games to use; all you would need for a breakdown even a solar power charging system to keep your phones etc charged up. Good inventory and as I say everything you need in the great storage available in the van. We definitely without reservation recommended KT-J wether you are a complete novice or experienced camper. A fantastic experience from start to finish. Pick up and drop off were a breeze as Adam is very responsive and easy going. And the van is perfect! I fell in love and was a little sad to give her back at the end. It’s such a great size, narrow enough to feel confident driving on country roads and still roomy inside. Our little holiday with Katie J was amazing. Adam and Tom were so friendly and relaxed with everything and also gave us some very good recommendations. They have literally thought about everything for this van, from a coffee maker to fairy lights. We watched a beautiful sunset sitting in the back of the van with a glass of wine. We all had such a great time in Katie-J! Adam was great showing us how it all worked and all of the facilities on board. Great communication leading up to the trip too. Everything was thought of and catered for which meant we could pack lightly and focus on making fun memories! The van was in great condition and so cosy to sleep in (especially with the fairy lights!) It was so nice to be able to take our pups with us too on their first little holiday to Devon so thank you! First of all, we wish to express our largest gratitude to the guys for undoubtedly the most incredible traveling experience we ever had. Katie-J was both a perfect vehicle and home for our trip to Cornwall. It unlocked an endless number of destinations to us which are usually hidden from ordinary tourists. The van has a perfect technical state, and all the interiors are well thought for frequent use. We were amazed by the volume of storage it has. However, there is still more than enough open space to enjoy the comfort of the camper. We would definitely recommend this camper van to anyone who wants to go for a really exciting adventure. Where do I start… James and I were greeted by Bodey in Poole who was super friendly, welcoming and put us at ease from the offset. He took the time to show us everything we needed to know about the van, it was fully kitted out with all the essential cooking and culinary bits we needed which saves so much hassle! The battery charges up as you drive so we went a week without needing electric hook up- amazing !! The van drives smooth, we both agreed we’d rather drive 6 hours in katie J than in our own cars due to comfort and space! We set off on our tour of Cornwall and had the best time, Katie J gives you the flexibility to head off anywhere you fancy without sticking to a plan September 2021

Myself and my now fiancé went away to Scotland in KT-J. A solid 2000 mile round trip with very long days of constant driving. In any vehicle this would be exhausting and make you question whether you're going to have any breakdowns. Well with KT-J this isn't even a slight concern. Not once did she skip a beat on this long journey. Nor did she faulter for even a second. I was honestly amazed at how easily this plucky little van was able to just keep on crusing with absolutely no complications! Now to the interior of this van. Clearly there has been a lot of love and thought gone into her design. The interior is unbelievably cosey and gives such a lovely vibe no matter where you are. For us this was waking up on a comfy mattress every day overlooking gorgeous lochs on a mountainous background. The van has been so cleverly designed it doesn't at all feel small as everything has its own place and convenient way of being stored so you have plenty of room to kick back and relax. It's incredible sustainability meant we were able to wild camp most of the time as everything we needed was onboard! Finally I come to the gentleman behind this little blue marvel. They are the most polite gents and were always at the end of the phone with any questions we had. On the run up to the trip their communication was excellent and even had plenty of advice to offer on things to do whilst away. There is nothing bad I can say about this van or the lovely gents who own it. Thanks to this lovely little van and the help of her owners we had the best holiday and experience travelling around Scotland. Also thanks to KT-J I was able to propose to my girlfriend in the picturesque mountains of Scotland! Thank you once again to KT-J and her owners! Augustus 2021

We took this camper around Cornwall for a week and it was absolutely everything we needed it to be. It was conveniently sized, packed out with all the essentials you may need and the bed was super comfy. The guys were super helpful. Really can’t recommend strongly enough. I took a mini tour of the Uk, in Katie J. The van drove well, the whole interior is well thought out and practical.There are nice touches like the USB charging point and interior lighting just to lift the experience when you are parked up. The bed was better than we expected and there were lots of bits and pieces provided which for first timers like me really helped. Katie J gave us the absolute best experience we could have wished for from a first camper van trip. She is an immaculate camper van with a really cosy, easy going and relaxing vibe which made our trip with 2 dogs an absolute joy! Adam and Bodey were amazing as owners and they did absolutely everything they could to make us feel at ease and comfortable to take her out. The most important part for us and what made our holiday so wonderful was how supported and relaxed we felt taking Katie J out. Nothing was too much to ask and there were no silly questions - Adam and Bodey really are the most fantastic people and I cannot stress enough how important that is for a camper van trip to be enjoyable! They even gave us tips on where to go and what to do while we were down in Cornwall and some handy advice for us campervan newbies! We are definitely going to be hiring Katie J out again and cannot wait to take her on our next adventure! Surprisingly easy to drive (since it was our first time), smooth and seriously so much fun! Make sure to wave at other camper vans as you drive along - being behind the wheel of a beauty and especially a T4 gets you lots of waves and smiles from the campervan community! Hiring Katy J was so easy and was one of the best experiences. I have always wanted to get a van and convert it but I had ever slept in one before so this was a trial. I loved every moment. I have limited experience driving a van but this one is very easy to drive. (I only stalled once) Adam was great, he always responded fast when I can questions about the van or how to use something. I only had the van for 2 nights but I miss it so much! The van is newly converted so everything inside is very clean and nice. Best experience was just opening the boot, sitting in bed with a cup of tea listening to the rain. So wonderful! Thank you for the experience, I highly recommend this Van! Juni 2021

Katie J was our little home for a week and we fell in love. We took her on a round trip of the Cornish coast and we wouldn't of changed anything. From the comfort of driving, the contents of the van (everything we could of needed) and not to forget the bed of dreams which we are already missing! As for the campervan guys, Adam and Tom were the dream owners. They made sure we had everything sorted before we set off, and made the fantastic suggestion to use BritStops (I would advise anyone to do the same). If we had any questions or issues they were super speedy to respond. We also had a slight unplanned hiccup on our last day, and let me tell you they bent over backwards to make sure we still had the most amazing holiday.
