Terms and conditions of tourist / events rental service
To benefit from the services provided by La Forêt campsite, we ask that you first carefully review the terms and conditions below. These conditions govern holiday sales and are effective starting from the time when the order is placed. Making a booking indicates that you have accepted all our terms and conditions.
Booking terms
Booking may be made by post, by telephone or by email.
A booking is valid only when we have confirmed it in writing, we have received the down payment and either we have received the duly signed and completed booking contract, or you have accepted the terms and conditions of rental in the event of an online booking.
A booking is legally binding for the La Forêt campsite only if the campsite has accepted the reservation, which it is free to accept or refuse depending on availability and, generally speaking, any circumstances which may be detrimental to carrying out the booking request. The La Forêt campsite offers family-oriented stays, in a traditional sense, and the accommodations have been specially designed for this purpose. The La Forêt campsite reserves the right to refuse any booking which would be contrary to this intent or which would seek to pervert it.
Camping plot and rental accommodation bookings are made on a personal (nominative) basis. Under no circumstance may you sublet your reservation or transfer it to anyone else without the prior agreement of the campsite.
Any change to the contract which may entail an increase or decrease in fees due must be brought to the attention of the campsite and will only be considered effective with the agreement of the campsite. In the event of false or inaccurate statements, the contract will be rescinded without any liability on the part of the campsite and the campsite will retain any sums paid.
Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Camping plots:
The basic rate includes a plot for a tent, caravan or campervan, as well as access to the sanitary facilities and, when available, other hosting facilities (which are open on a seasonal basis). Maximum 8 guests per plot.
In 2018, the sanitary facilities will be open from 8 April to 15 October 2018. They are not heated or enclosed. In the low season, only Sanitary Facility 2 is open.
If the customer requests an electrical connection, he or she is responsible for providing an electric cable and connection sockets in good working order and in compliance with all applicable norms and regulations. As of 2018, the electrical connections available on site provide 6A power.
Rentals:
Rental accommodations are equipped in accordance with the model chosen when the reservation was made. The basic rate applies to 2 to 8 persons depending on the type of rental.
The campsite reserves the right to refuse access to groups or families arriving with a number of guests greater than the maximum capacity of the chosen accommodation.
Terms and conditions of payment
Camping plots:
Bookings for a bare plot must be accompanied by a down payment of 50% of the total booking charge + booking fees. The remainder will be billed upon arrival at the campsite.
Rentals:
For bookings made more than 30 days before the start date of the stay, a deposit of 25% of the services booked must be paid to the campsite upon booking. The remainder must be paid at the latest 30 days before the start date of the campsite stay.
For bookings made less than 30 days before the start date of the stay as well as for week-end bookings, full payment must be made to the campsite upon booking.

Rates
Rates are stated in euros, valid in 2018, and refer to a nightly rate.
These include:
Rental of a campsite plot or accommodation (for the number of guests indicated when the booking was made, with a baby counting as one guest)
For accommodations, provision of gas or electricity
Access to the pool area (reserved solely for campsite guests), the play areas, the shared sanitary facilities and certain leisure activities.
These do not include:
Booking fees
Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance (Campez Couvert - optional)
The tourism tax (taxe de séjour, which is mandatory and is charged upon booking at the rate applicable at time of booking)
Add-ons
Rental deposits, which are requested as a guarantee that the rental will be returned in GOOD CONDITION
Wifi service on your campsite plot

Security Deposits
For tourist rentals, 4 security deposits will be charged upon arrival:
A €300 deposit to cover damage (wear and tear, breakage)
A €70 deposit to guarantee the return of the rental accommodation in a thoroughly clean state
A €100 deposit for the return of linens provided by the campsite (bedsheets, bath towels)
A €20 deposit for the access badge
The campsite personnel checks rental accommodations before each arrival. Upon arrival, you will receive a check sheet to complete and return to reception within 24 hours. On your day of departure, we ask that you please follow regulations (clean the rental if you did not request a cleaning service upon booking, clean out and defrost the refrigerator, wash and dry dishes…)
2 days before your departure, you will be asked to make an appointment for your Property Condition Report. Campsite personnel will check your rental accommodation and deposits will be returned as applicable (July / August).

Cancellations and Modifications
Changing your booking
Changes to your booking may be made at no charge when alternative dates are available.
If you delay your date of arrival without notifying the campsite, your rental may be made available to other guests from 24 hours following the date of arrival stated in your contract, and you will no longer be permitted to use your booked accommodation.
Services not used
There is no right to reimbursement for unused services if you interrupt or shorten your stay (late arrival, early departure).
Cancellation by La Forêt campsite
In case of cancellation by the booking manager, except in the event of force majeure, the stay will be fully reimbursed. However, damages and interest will not be paid.
Cancellation by the guest
Bookings may only be cancelled in writing (registered letter) sent to the La Forêt campsite. Your payment will be reimbursed with the deductions stated below, upon condition that you provide us with a motive for the cancellation.
If the cancellation occurs:
More than 30 days before the start of your stay: the campsite retains your down payment.
Less than 30 days before the start of your stay: the campsite retains the sum total of the reservation billed as well as the booking fee.
To obtain reimbursement, we invite you to sign up for optional Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance with your rental contract. Of course, any reimbursement must be covered in the Terms and Conditions of the insurance policy (www.campez-couver.com); furthermore, you must notify the insurance company within 48 hours and provide all information and documents necessary to justify your claim.

Your stay
Arrival:
Rental accommodations: Check-in is from 4 p.m. onwards on the first day of your booking. A deposit will be requested when you receive the keys to your rental accommodation.
Campsite plots: Check-in is from 4 p.m. onwards on the first day of your booking.
Departure:
Rental accommodations: On the day of departure stated in your contract, you must vacate your rental accommodation before 11 a.m. The accommodation must be left in a thoroughly clean state, you waste disposed of in the campsite trash container, and we may check the inventory. You will be charged for any broken, damaged or missing objects, as well as clean-up and repair where required. Your deposit will be returned to you at the end of your stay, with deductions for any indemnities for any damage noted in the Property Condition Report (supporting invoice provided). If the deposit is withheld, the guest may nevertheless be charged for additional damages if the cost for clean-up and repair is greater than the sum of the deposit.
If the rental accommodation has not been cleaned before your departure, you will be asked to pay a minimum cleaning fee of €70 (see Security Deposits).
Campsite plots: On your day of departure, you must vacate your plot before 12 noon. It must be left clean, with any waste disposed of in the available containers. In case of late departure, you may be charged for an additional day at the applicable rate for one night's stay.

Pets
Cats are not permitted on the campsite.
Only small dogs (under 6 kg) are allowed on the campsite. Permitted dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. They are not allowed by the poolside, in food shops or in shared facilities. Their vaccinations must be up to date and you will be asked for a copy of their vaccination record upon arrival. A special fee will be charged upon booking.
Owners are responsible for their pets as well as the pets' waste and any damage they may cause. If these regulations are not followed, the manager will have no choice but to cease allowing pets on the campsite. Pets forbidden in rental accommodations

Pool Area
Access to the pool area is reserved for campsite guests. Visitors may not access it.
Swimming shorts are not allowed. Access is reserved to guests wearing swimming suits or trunks specifically intended for swimming.
It is strictly forbidden to smoke or drink in the pool enclosure.
The pool is unsupervised. Within the pool area, children remain entirely under the care and responsibility of their parents or legal guardians.
Opening times: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Opening period: May 15 to September 15

Internal regulations
Guests promise to follow the internal regulations displayed at the campsite reception and to have their children follow these same regulations, failing which they may be expelled from the campsite in the interests of the care and wellbeing of our other guests. To this end, visitors are strictly required to register at reception.
Smoking is strictly forbidden in common areas. Our rental accommodations are non-smoking (including e-cigarettes). Cigarette ends must be disposed of in the sandboxes provided.
Please note: the campsite is located in a PPRI “forest fire” zone. You may not dispose of any cigarette ends on the ground.
Barbecues: Gas barbecues only are allowed on the campsite.
Noise: Motor vehicles may circulate at a maximum speed of 10 km/h, and are forbidden between the hours of 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. Audio devices may be operated only at a volume that is not audible beyond your plot.
Quiet hours are from 11 p.m. onwards, except on show nights in the main room and entertainment marquee (11:30 p.m. / midnight).

Duties and Responsibilities of La Forêt Campsite
Guests are responsible for their own insurance: the campsite declines any responsibility in case of theft, fire, bad weather, losses or damages of any kind during or following your stay and in case of incidents which pertain to the guest's civil responsibilities.
All guests must respect the provisions of the internal regulations.
Each primary guest is responsible for any nuisance or difficulties caused by the persons staying with them, or visiting them on the campsite.
In the event where a guest causes discomfort to others by failing to comply with the regulations, the manager reserves the right to end the guest's contract without compensation or notice.
Guests are responsible for all equipment made available to them in rental accommodations. Any damage, breakage or theft will be charged to the guest.
Any damage which is deliberate or caused by misuse of the outdoor or shared facilities will be charged to the guest.
The guest explicitly recognizes that La Forêt campsite cannot be held responsible for any false information which may have been shared by its partners or any third party about the campsite and which may be displayed on the brochure or website, including, in particular, photo representations, descriptions, activities, events, services, and dates of operation.
All photos and text in the brochure and on La Forêt website are solely for illustrative purposes and are not contractually binding.
Certain activities and facilities offered by the campsite and described in the brochure may be cancelled on occasion, particularly in case of inclement weather or force majeure events as defined under French law.

Data Protection
The information you share with us when you make a booking will not be passed on to any third party. The campsite treats this data as confidential information. It will be used exclusively by the internal campsite services to process your reservation and to improve and customize the communications and service offers reserved for La Forêt campsite guests in connection with your interests.
During your stay on La Forêt campsite, you or your family may be filmed or photographed for the publicity purposes of the campsite (website, Facebook, leaflet or any other marketing medium). If you do not wish to be filmed or photographed, you must notify us in writing (registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt) before your arrival.

Liability
In the event of litigation concerning services not conforming to contractual obligations, and after having made a written appeal (registered post) to La Forêt campsite customer service within 30 days following the end of your stay,
You may appeal to a Consumer Ombudsman within a maximum period of one year following the date of the written appeal to the campsite owners by registered post.
In accordance with article L.152-1 of the Consumer Code, any customer may, free of charge, engage the services of the MEDICYS mediation service to which we are subject, either by online application: www.medicys.fr or by post: MEDICYS, 73 Boulevard de Clichy, 75009 Paris
