We had a great time in Isaac's camper which was in good condition and well equipped for first time campervanners like us. We headed to the Lake District - not too far for our first trip out, and the van was perfect for this kind of trip. Benefits: Equipped with gas hob, kettle, cutlery, cups, plates, bowls and cooking equipment,, and good storage if using the pop-up. The manual awning canopy is a good benefit meaning you can store some things outside. Drawbacks: Despite good instructions from Isaac, the pull-out bed was initially quite stiff and so was the rotating captain's chair. If you have injuries like us it isn't ideal! Recommendations: Take a mattress topper for sleeping comfort, your own bedding/sleeping bags, and camping chairs/table. Include an electric kettle if you fancy a cuppa in bed (you can't access the gas bottle if it's pulled out). A cheap pop-up tent is a good call for storage as the awning doesn't have sides. We definitely recommend Isaac's van. Thank you for letting us hire it! Augustus 2026
