In the end, we had a great trip. Scotland was beautiful, and the van was great.
However, to be honest, I wasn’t happy with how the booking was handled. The person I was booking with turned out to represent a company rather than a private owner. I was told that the van would therefore need to be changed, and this remained unresolved until I arrived to pick it up.
Also, bear in mind that you’ll need to buy quite a few essentials yourself. I was told to bring bed linen, but it turned out that pillows and a duvet weren’t included either. There was no toilet fluid for the waste tank, along with various other small essentials you need for a comfortable stay. It would have been helpful to have a clear list of what was and wasn’t included before arrival.
