Hired van to do a five day visit to Mull & Iona. Paul not available to do handover so had a quick run through from another employee, I accept some responsibility for not asking for a demo of pop top, rock & roll bed, heating and gas function but a brief manual in the van might help others. Van drove well and was clean. Only discovered the absence of levelling chocks, bedding & outdoor chairs later, apparently these are available but need to be requested. Hand back was easy and got to meet Paul who took our feedback on board. Mei 2026

Handover was smooth, Camper has everything you need, although I would say take some camping chairs if u need them as the camper only had one stool available. Storage was excellent, same as the cleanliness of the van, it had everything we needed for our trip, will definitely be looking to hire the van again at some point & on the couple of occasions I reached out to Paul he was very prompt in his reply. Great van which met our needs exactly. We thought the garage space would take up living area room but it was still spacious and the space for storage meant we could tuck bags and the like out the way. Paul was also very accommodating with interruptions that Calmac brought to our trip. April 2026

Paul was excellent from start to finish, with a smooth check-in and check-out process and great communication throughout the trip whenever we needed it. We hired the OG van for six nights and took it around the NC500 — we loved every minute of it! The van was easy to drive and we had no issues on the road at all. The large bed is incredibly comfortable, and we slept really well throughout the trip. The size of the van is also a big plus — not just for the spacious bed, but for being able to stand up comfortably while moving around, cooking, or cleaning. It’s especially ideal for anyone taller. We hired the OG camper and it had all the amenities we needed. Definitely would recommend Gallivant Campers. We spent 5 days travelling round The Scottish Highlands and The Isle of Skye, the unlimited mileage made this possible without being restricted. Very clean, well prepared camper. The price is very reasonable for what you get. We would definitely hire again! Maart 2026

Perfect van for our trip! Spacious and comfortable, it allowed us to visit Scotland at our own pace! The van is suitable for tall people and the blinds really block the light well for those who like to sleep in. Paul was very responsive and patient with his explanations and his answers which we appreciated a lot. September 2025

The Van was very good. From the additional equipment we booked on top wasn't everything there. But Gallivant Campers gave us a refund. Just make sure to check before you leave that everything needed and booked is there. The customer service in general from Gallivant was very good. Augustus 2025

Our handover with Paul was smooth, hassle-free, and incredibly professional—he was friendly and made the whole process effortless. We took the motorhome from Glasgow to Birmingham and then back up to stay at Dumfries on the way back, and it was the perfect way to travel. It worked out as a cheaper option then hiring a car and booking accommodation and this way we had the best of both worlds. This was our first time staying in a motorhome and we absolutely loved it—we’d definitely do it again through Gallivant. What made Paul’s motorhome stand out was how easy it was to pick up and drop off, with a location close to public transport and excellent communication from Paul throughout. Also had some guide books in the vehicle for the NC500 and Scotland and really wishing that we explored there instead- but we will save that for next time. My 4year old daughter absolutely loved the experience and made ever lasting memories for her. Thanks again Paul and Gallivant. Highly recommended! Mei 2025

Hiring this van from Paul was brilliant from start to finish, they were able to sort out the van for us at very last notice making us able to continue our travels. The van was spot on the whole journey and had everything you needed for a week travelling around the coast of Scotland. Hand overs were made so easy by himself when picking up and dropping the van off. Would highly recommend. April 2025
