Great experience all round. From the start David was easy to communicate with and never more so than at the handovers. Whilst the vehicle was different to that booked it was newer and very similar throughout. The bed arrangement was the most obvious change and at first a little concerning. In order to give much more storage space the bed was raised. However it was not a problem and we are in our seventies. The camper was very comfortable, well equipped and enough space for the two of us. Our first time in a camper turned out to be exactly what we had hoped for. Great to turn up on site in the rain and all that had to be done was connect the electric. David made the whole experience a pleasure. Juli 2024

The camper van was spot on, we had it for a long weekend at Glastonbury and it was perfect for our needs as a group of 3 adults. David was great, and very accommodating with earlier pick up and later drop off. We were given a little tour of the van before hitting the road which was very helpful, and David was very responsive to messages. A week or so before our arrival in the UK from South Africa, another campervan company dropped us, and we urgently needed to make a plan. We found David's campervan on Goboony, and I am so glad we did! The campervan was spotless, looked, felt and drove like it was brand new. David went out of his way to get a few final requests sorted out, without any fuss. His communication and explanation and tips were excellent, and everything went so well. The campervan was surprisingly economical, and the electric/battery/gas set up was just perfect. This was our first campervan holiday (to Scotland), and we will certainly do it again! Wish I could give 10/10 because our experience was superb. David was super helpful (changed our dates late, no problem) quick to respond to texts. Pick up/drop off was seamless. David's run through before we set of was friendly, relaxed & informative. We left on our first ever campervan holiday feeling confident. Came home a day early, only because of Storm Babet! The change was accommodated by David without any issue. He's a gem folks - if you want to hire a really clean, all mod cons campervan... David is your man. We will definitely be returning next year. Was a little small for 2 people especially as one of us was over 6ft tall so sleeping was a challenge. The van drove really well and was comfy for both driver and passenger. David was great and explained everything really well so we had no issues with anything at all. September 2023

Having never lived in a campervan before, the experience became a learning curve . The van was well equipped and the sharp knife was indeed sharp ! I cooked most days and can honestly say I had everything I needed to put a meal together. The bed was comfortable my only issue was storage.. the wardrobe was my food store but that was just us being virgin campers and not a complaint about the van. All in all we enjoyed our two weeks in David’s van and wouldn’t hesitate rented from him again, thank you September 2021

Van was great, nice and clean drove very nicely and was a wonderful get away. Took it all around the outer Hebrides and Scotland and enjoyed it greatly. Only slight grumbles where the van was not a brand new van as promised (not owners fault, due to pandemic) and the gas lighter on the fridge did not work during the trip, so we could not use the fridge off grid. This was not too much of an issue for us as we where hooked up to electric every night but if we had been wild camping it could have been an issue. Other than that very minor quibble it was great, would highly recommend David and Lovely Campervans. Augustus 2021

We have just returned from doing the NC500 in one of Davids wonderful campervans, and it was perfect. The van was immaculate, with a design that made our 11 days on the road very comfortable. This size of the van was ideal for the single track roads we faced, as larger vehicles cannot travel on the most scenic routes. David was very accomodating from the get-go; This was our first experience of renting a motorhome. We were grateful for the clear instructions and advice and that we could contact him if we had any queries. Nothing was too much trouble, and we would not hesitate to recommend Davids campervans, and we look forward to renting again from him soon. Juli 2021

Myself, my husband, 2 children and our dog had a lovely week in the Lake District in David's campervan at October half term. The van was new and spotlessly clean and had everything we needed to cook etc. We stayed warm and comfortable during what turned out to be a cold and wet week! Can not recommend the campervan enough from David. Was such a great experience, the van was perfect condition, it had more space than expected and great storage facilities on it too! There is a really useful manual on board that makes using the van really easy, however David was great with communicating and was really understanding if we had any questions throughout the trip! David was a great person to deal with from the moment we requested a booking until we returned the camper. He was very accommodating with any requests and replied very promptly to any queeries we had. He even picked us up from the local train station when we arrived and drove us to the camper. The camper itself was perfect for our requirements, sleeping 3 adults, although at times it was a little squeezy as would be expected. Our motorhome was perfect for our needs and we loved it. David was great in helping us with orgainsing pick up etc and answered my emails immediately. Pick-up and drop off service at the train station was great. The motorhome had everything we needed, the bed was surprisingly very comfortable and the heating kept us very cosing at night. It could be helpful if the van had levelling ramps although we borrowed some from one campground and didn't need them at any others. Just a suggestion. We will definitely hire again from David on our next trip to the UK. Oktober 2018

We were very happy with our motorhome. There were only 2 of us so not sure how it would have been with 4. We liked the option of the permanent double bed at the rear. We weren't able to hook up over the 4 days as parked in a field at the 'Detectival' but the leisure battery lasted until we left and we had just enough water without refilling. We will probably book again for next year's event. September 2018

In view of our long duration hire, he not only accommodated our request for an early pick-up ... he went to the trouble of delivering the MH to us some 60 miles from his depot. The MH was "brand new" and served us extremely well throughout the extensive trip we took through the West, North and East Coasts of Scotland [including the outer Hebrides]. My initial doubts about renting from Lovely Motorhomes was the late collection stated in the blurb as being from 4pm and dropping off by 10am, effectively losing almost a day rental. However, David was more flexible about picking up, and the camper was available earlier if we wanted, however, I think it ended up being 4pm anyway. The early drop meant me spending the last night in a lay-by, although that was my choice, rather than crossing from South East London in the Monday morning rush-hour. There was the option to drop off on the Sunday, which would have been useful and not an option with many rentals. The vehicle really was a "Lovely Motorhome" and we were really happy with it. The final gripe was the cleaning cost at around £80, which seemed excessive - but is probably a realistic cost. So overall, I would rent again from David, who was really affable and helpful. Reactie van David We try to be as flexible as possible with the pick up and drop off times and they are priced into our rates. It does however give us the time to clean and prep vehicles if a previous booking ends on the same day as the next booking. But where possible we will fit in with our customers plans.
