Positief: Beautiful campsite surrounding a charming castle. The campsite has quite a few pitches, but never feels like a large campsite due to the pitches and other accomodations being so spread out. The saturday evening bbq is wonderful. So was casino night.

Kan beter: We went wakeboarding, as offered by the campsite on their entertainment board. We met a reception at the agreed time. In the end we were just given the address of where to go. We drove ourselves, and made our own booking for the normal price. What was the point of this being 'organised' by the campsite? We would have preferred to go by ourselves at a time of our choosing.

Positief: We love Chanteloup and have been coming for many years. Valerie and Benoit are super hosts and the site is fantastic, we love it there!

Kan beter: The toilets are ready for an overhaul (lots of loose seats etc) I think and could do with being cleaned a bit more often, and the shower water wasn't always hot. The pool surround is also in need of some repairs. The on site shop is better than last year but could still do with some more stock.

Positief: Very relaxing stay.

Kan beter: The lake was overgrown and looked stagnant not as seen on the brochure. We wanted to fish as this was part of the reason we chose the campsite.

Positief: We enjoyed our short stay here as a stopover on our way to Dordogne. We had a nice spot in the Bois area which felt very peaceful and the facilities were clean. The bakery visit each morning was appreciated. The staff were always friendly and helpful. We’d recommend.

Positief: Stunning location, incredible staff. Wonderful last stop off on our way back home. We are definitely coming back

Positief: What an amazing site. Admittedly we had lovely weather but the surrounding grounds are spectacular. The swimming was just the right size, the restaurant was staffed by lovely people and we were also able to wash some clothes. Excellent.

Kan beter: My wife is celiac and more gluten free and vegetarian options at the restaurant would have been welcome.
