Positief: The campsite is well placed for the town and surrounding area where the marshes hold great bird life. Cycling in the area is good. The campsite has good facilities and we especially enjoyed using the pool. We love staying here and expect to return.

Kan beter: Internet instable ( comme souvent en France hélas), et très dommage:on entend très fort les bruits de la N13. Mais ça : le camping ne peut pas y remédier.

Positief: The location of Haut Dick camping to the main Cherbourg route national, making for a great location for onward travel to Cherbourg port. The historic town of Carentan, its small port, church and shops all just a short walk of less than 5-10 minutes along footpaths and cycle paths from the camping. Friendly reception team who had reserved us a pitch from our advance requirements without surcharge. Fresh bread ordered evening before.

Positief: Friendly peoole of all nationalities. The hosts were nice. Good facilities including indoor pool, bar and food in high season.

Kan beter: We had private shower, toilet, and kitchen on our pitxh. We were in a campervan so needed those facilities. The problem for me being disabled was getting in and out of the building, as it had quite a big step. Also there ought to be a door on the entrance rather than a button down plastic flap. Which caused me no end of difficulties.

Positief: Excellent séjour grâce à la soirée au cours de laquelle nous avons eu la surprise que Chrystel et Fabrice nous fêtent notre 1000e nuit au camping. Nous en gardons de précieux souvenirs ( photos, carnet, article de journal.).Raymond n'oubliera pas non plus la soirée éclipse et le challenge qui a suivi.

Positief: We booked as it seemd the most convenient camp site for visiting the many places of interest and all of the entertainment activities available between Le Harvre and Cherbourg. One activity not to be missed is self flying a Helium filled 'Aeroplume' (Mini Airship) inside a giant airship hangar at nearby Ecaussaville. Owners very helpful and all facilities kept spotless. Centre of Carentan and its station are about 1km but its flat and a a pleasant walk.
